Neo Muyanga is a composer and musician, working in the  in-depth study of practices of indigenous musicking. He seeks to examine how these so-called ‘traditionalmodes’ approach, bridge, or contrast with musicking in contemporary popular music, opera and music theatre. Over the past 2 decades, he has mounted musical productions spanning the above-mentioned genres across the globe.
