Looking Back at Our 2023 Gatherings

As the year winds down, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the breadth and multiplicity of our community of Fellows and Senior Fellows, Staff and Board members, partners, and friends of our work, all of whom are linked by a commitment to the world beyond anti-Black racism.

Since January, we have gathered in many configurations of AFRE - from delightful Happy Hours to check in and connect with Fellows and Senior Fellows, to strategy retreats for our Staff team and our Board, and programming retreats for 2022 Fellows, all held in Johannesburg, Cape Town and New York.

In July, members of our team were also in Oxford with 2021 Fellows, as well as Fellows and Staff from other Atlantic Fellows programmes, for a time of learning and connection at the 2023 Global Atlantic Fellows Annual Convening.

Below, we spotlight a sampling of photos from these gatherings.
