Siphelele Chirwa
Siphelele Chirwa is CEO of Activate Leadership, a youth development organisation that builds the capacity of young people to become leaders for public innovation. The organisation catalyses connections among these change drivers and supports their growing influence as a new political, social and economic force.
Siphelele’s background is in grassroots activism in local communities in the Western Cape. She has worked with different organisations in the youth development sector for 16 years. She also designs and facilitates experiential programmes in leadership, life skills and rites of passage for young people and adults from all backgrounds. She is a board member of the Learning Trust South Africa.
