Director of Housing, PolicyLink

I believe that to reach a world free of racial injustice and systemic oppression we must address the ways Black and poor people are denied access to the temporal domain of the future.

Rasheedah Phillips, Esq. is director of Housing at PolicyLink.

She previously served as Managing Attorney of the Landlord-Tenant Housing Unit at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia (CLS). In addition to direct representation, she engaged in local and national policy and advocacy on displacement issues. She began her career at CLS in 2008 as a Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network Martin Luther King, Jr. Fellow in the Community Economic Development Unit, providing legal advice, representation, and resources to low-income child care businesses and non-profit organisations.

She is the founder of The AfroFuturist Affair, which produces programming on the themes of Black futurity and sci-fi to advocate for low-income, marginalized communities, and help them imagine a different future. She is also a self-published sci-fi author.
