Lovelyn Nwadeyi

Inclusion Strategy Manager EMEA, Netflix

I believe that in order to reach a world where social justice and equity are normalised and embedded in human and institutional practices, we must foster curiosity and re-educate ourselves to create new language for the world we want to live in.

Lovelyn Nwadeyi is a vibrant young woman who has become an established socio-economic and political voice in South Africa and is particularly outspoken regarding matters of social justice. She was listed among the Mzansi 100 Influencers in 2017 and named by lauded Elle Magazine as one of the foremost Women to Watch in 2016. She is also an alumnus of the prestigious USA State Department International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP) for premier emerging foreign leaders.

She has been involved in multiple roles related to student and worker activism during the first wave (2015) of the movements of #FeesMustFall and #EndOutsourcing in South Africa. Lovelyn has worked as a volunteer in diverse capacities and most of this entailed engaging with young people for leadership development, public speaking and debating skills training.

Complementing her professional efforts, Lovelyn is guided by a strong sense of social justice especially as it pertains to the realms of business, religion, and education. She is often afforded international and local platforms on which to engage about such issues. Lovelyn regularly speaks on matters related to education, socio-economic justice, and gender justice.

Lovelyn Nwadeyi is the Founder and Director of L&N Advisors, a consulting practice whose sole purpose is to see social justice normalised and embedded in both businesses, academic and religious spaces.

Between what she is paid to do and what she does pro-bono, Lovelyn loves to read stories, tell stories, enjoy good food and make music.
