Domenique Harrison
I'm Domenique Harrison, MPH, LMFT, LPCC, a licensed psychotherapist and the founder of The Racial Equity Therapist®.
I hold advanced degrees in clinical psychology and public health, bringing over seven years of clinical experience and more than a decade of racial equity work to my practice. I earned my degrees from Pepperdine University (M.A. in Clinical Psychology), NYU (MPH), and Haverford College (BA in History), and I'm licensed in California and Minnesota.
I specialise in supporting BIPOC and queer millennials, as well as multi-cultural couples, as they navigate the intersections of race, identity, and relationships. My approach is grounded in culturally attuned, trauma-informed care that helps clients unpack the emotional weight of systemic oppression, heal relational wounds, and build deeper connections rooted in integrity and truth.
I'm also the creator of The Integrity Talks Deck—a set of 140+ reflective questions designed to spark meaningful conversations and foster self-awareness. This tool reflects my commitment to helping individuals and communities engage in dialogue that supports emotional growth and relational healing. Outside of the therapy room, I've led national trainings and developed curricula on trauma-informed care, racism, emotional intelligence, and self-care. I've collaborated with institutions like UCLA and previously ran my own consulting firm, Domenique Michelle LLC, offering equity-centered education and training nationwide.
My insights on mental health, identity, and relational wellness have been featured in major media outlets, including CNN Health, Vogue, Essence, Glamour, Self, and Women's Health, where I contribute to conversations on relationships and mental health healing. Earlier in my career, I worked in emergency planning, healthcare innovation, and international public health, contributing to UN case studies on HIV/AIDS care and authoring emergency plans for New York City and the state of New Jersey.
